Am 25.07.2010 veröffentlichte die Internetplattform WikiLeaks das Afghan War Diary. Es handelt sich um eine Sammlung von 76.911 Dokumenten über den Krieg in Afghanistan in der Zeit von 2004 bis 2010. Mit dem Vortrag wird gezeigt, wie die Daten in Maiana genutzt werden können und damit die Durchsuchbarkeit, Abfragbarkeit, Integration von Hintergrundwissen und Wiederverwendbarkeit in Drittanwendungen deutlich erhöht werden kann.
