This document defines a Petri net data model (PNDM).

This document defines a Petri net data model (PNDM) derived from the formal specification of Petri nets in and based on the same metamodel as [infoset]. Interpreter has to process these Petri nets according to application specific constraints. These constraints are defined by Petri net processing models (PNPM). This document defines one of many possible PNPMs. This is intended to be used for the definition of Modelling Workflow Patterns (MWP).

Furthermore, syntaxes (constraints) for Topic Maps and OWL are introduced. The PNDM and PNPM allow to properly represent any kind of Workflows with these syntaxes, including MWPs.

Summarised, this document defines:

A. Terminological specifications of workflow definitions based on Petri nets,

B. the Petri net data model (PNDM) based on the same metamodel as [infoset],

C. Definition of MWPs as a Petri net processing model (PNPM)

D. Topic Maps syntax for Petri nets including a mapping from TMDM to PNDM

E. OWL syntax syntax for Petri nets including a mapping to the PNDM and

F. Some Operator Specifications in the appendix
