Live Integration Framework

Paper, was published by Christian Haß and Sven Krosse at 2010-09-30

This paper is about integration data from heterogenous databases in a flexible and dynamic way using the Java Live Integration Framewok.

In the last years the philosophies of open and linked data became more popular. Unfortunately most application are storing their data within different and heterogeneous models. By defining an integration framework information from different source can be represented in the same format, for instance as a topic map. In combination with the concept of virtual merging the integration layer can then provide a new view for remote data without any redundancy and caching. Every information about a real world subject could be concentrate in one data hub.
