Fuse::TM

Project category: Utilities and Components
Project status: Alpha

http://search.cpan.org/~alphazulu/Fuse-TM-0.1/

Fuse::TM it’s a small perl module (plus a commandline wrapper) which allows the user to mount a topic map as a filesystem. Basenames become files and associations become symlink farms.

It provides both read-only and read-write access, and works as a ‘Filesystem in Userspace’ application (hence requires Fuse and an OS/kernel with Fuse support = most modern unices).

Fuse::TM uses Robert Barta’s TM modules and can therefore read and write all formats that TM understands.

Nowadays Topic Maps appears to be very suitable for being applied in Libraries, Archives and Museums. It provides a suitable model and mechanisms for depth indexing, classification and the implementation of FRBR, CIDOC-CRM or other conceptualizations.
