Abstract:

Arnim Bleier joins the Topic Maps Lab. With his educational roots in humanities Arnim will try to bring glossaries and thesauri to the media of the twenty-first century.

Arnim Bleier joins the Topic Maps Lab. After his Bachelors degree in Philosophy & Economics from the University of Bayreuth he graduated with a Master in Applied System Science at the University of Osnabrück. Inbetween he studied for one year at the University of Jyväskylä in Finland, where he worked in the Smart Semantic Middleware for Ubiquitous Computing (UBIWARE) project. With his educational roots in humanities Arnim will try to bring glossaries and thesauri to the media of the twenty-first century.

You have the opportunity to meet Arnim at the Ontopia Consolidating Meeting in Oslo on May 28, 2009.

Subject Matter

 

The idea of Topic Maps is essential to enable dynamic information logistic. This requires a system that understands the context of the user to provide relevant informations and options automatically. Therefore semantic analysis is needed organizing content in a dynamic net structure.
